Richmond Olympic Oval

Date : January 2014

Client : Richmond Olympic Oval

Phase 1

The Richmond Olympic Oval is a breathtaking venue on the banks of the Fraser River and winner of the Institution of Structural Engineers top award for Sports or Leisure Structures. Home to the long track speed skating during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the Oval has been transformed into the legacy vision first conceived by the city of Richmond in 2004 – an international centre of excellence for sports, health and wellness. Adaptation, growth and future development plans led for the need to review the outdated interface. Posting content, report generation and general management being very labour intensive with much duplication across the various departments.

The Alianz Solution:

Due to the needs of meeting the client’s deadlines, Alianz deployed its full team of expertise. Within 3 weeks we produced a full discovery with business requirements, workflows, technical architecture and user interface design requirements along with the solution to meet current and future technology demands.

Results:

We proposed a new enterprise solution to replace the aging interface, simplifying and enhancing all their needs within a platform that allows them to continue developing, meeting new requirements as Richmond Oval adapt to future plans.
